Terms & Conditions

The rules for using Business Owners Group — membership, payments, listings, B2B enquiries and events.

Last updated:

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Business Owners Group website, member dashboard, mobile application and related services (together, the “Platform”), operated by Business Owners Group (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By registering, paying for a membership or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

If you use the Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that business, and “you” includes that business.

2. Eligibility and B2B-only use

  • The Platform is a business-to-business (B2B) network, intended only for owners and authorised representatives of businesses operating lawfully in India.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
  • The Platform is not a consumer marketplace. Listings, enquiries and transactions must be for business purposes, such as bulk purchases, supplies, services or partnerships.
  • We may refuse or cancel a registration at our discretion — for example, if the details provided appear false or the account does not represent a genuine business.

3. Your account

  • Provide accurate, current and complete information when you register — including your name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, PIN code, business type and category — and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • One membership represents one business. Accounts and Business IDs cannot be transferred or sold.

4. Membership, fees and renewal

  • Membership costs ₹100 per month, payable in advance. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • After a successful payment your membership is activated and a unique Business ID (for example BOG-100001) is issued to your business. Occasionally we may review a new account before it becomes active; we will tell you if this applies to you.
  • Membership is prepaid and is never renewed or charged automatically. You can renew from your dashboard at any time; renewing early extends your membership from its current end date.
  • If your membership expires, your business profile is hidden from member search and member-only features are paused until you renew. Your Business ID remains reserved for your business.
  • We may change the membership price with advance notice on the Platform. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for.

5. Payments

  • Payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway, using UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking, wallets and other methods it supports. Your payment is also subject to Razorpay's terms and policies.
  • We never collect or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking credentials.
  • A payment is complete only when we receive confirmation from the payment gateway. Every successful payment receives a receipt number, which you can see in your dashboard.
  • Refunds, where applicable, are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Business profiles, products and content

  • You are responsible for everything you publish on the Platform — business details, logos, product photos, descriptions, prices and availability — and for making sure it is accurate, lawful and not misleading.
  • You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, all content you upload, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and reproduce it on the Platform to operate the service.
  • You must not list goods or services that are illegal, restricted or counterfeit, or that infringe anyone's rights. We may hide or remove any listing or content that breaches these Terms, without prior notice.

7. B2B enquiries and transactions between members

  • The Platform helps members find each other and exchange enquiries, quotes and messages. Any sale, purchase or service agreement is a contract directly between the members involved. We are not a party to it and we do not act as an agent, broker, buyer or seller.
  • We do not verify or guarantee the quality, safety, legality or delivery of products or services, the accuracy of listings, or the ability of any member to pay or perform.
  • Please do your own due diligence before trading — for example by checking GST registration, samples, references and payment terms.
  • Disputes between members must be resolved between them. Where the law allows, we may help by sharing relevant information we hold.

8. Contact details and privacy

  • Members' contact numbers are shared through controlled access. A number becomes visible to another member only when its owner allows it — by approving a contact request or choosing to show it to all active members — or when an enquiry between the two businesses progresses to a quote or acceptance.
  • You may use other members' contact details only for genuine business communication. You must not spam, send bulk unsolicited messages, sell, share or scrape contact details, or use them for any unlawful purpose.
  • How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

9. Events and bookings

  • We publish events such as networking meets, workshops and expos. The date, time, venue, fee per seat and available slots are shown on each event page. Booking is available to members with an active membership.
  • Seats for paid events are held for a short time while you complete payment, and a booking is confirmed only after the payment succeeds. Bookings for free events are confirmed immediately.
  • Confirmed bookings come with a digital ticket and QR code, which is scanned at the venue for check-in. Tickets are linked to your account and may not be resold.
  • We may change the agenda, speakers, timing or venue where necessary and will inform affected members. If we cancel an event, paid bookings are refunded in full as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • You attend events at your own risk and must follow the venue's rules and our team's instructions.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Platform for fraud, money laundering or any other unlawful purpose;
  • create fake or duplicate accounts, impersonate any person or business, or misrepresent your business;
  • post false, misleading, defamatory, obscene or infringing content;
  • harass, abuse or threaten other members or our staff;
  • scrape, crawl or copy data from the Platform, or use bots or automated tools without our written permission;
  • probe, break or bypass the Platform's security, or interfere with its normal operation;
  • use the Platform to sell to consumers or to advertise unrelated services.

11. Suspension and termination

  • We may suspend or block an account, hide listings or cancel bookings if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, if the law requires it, or to protect members or the Platform. Where appropriate, we will tell you the reason.
  • You may stop using the Platform at any time. To close your account permanently, contact us.
  • Fees already paid are not refunded when an account is suspended or terminated because of a breach of these Terms.

12. Intellectual property

The Platform — including its software, design, logos and the “Business Owners Group” name — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or use them except as these Terms allow.

13. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or secure, or that you will receive any particular number of enquiries or business results.

14. Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform or from dealings between members.
  • Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the fees you paid to us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your dealings with other members, or your breach of these Terms or of any law.

16. Changes to the Platform and these terms

We may update the Platform and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you on the Platform or by email. By continuing to use the Platform after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve it amicably within 30 days.

Subject to that, the courts having jurisdiction over our registered office in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.

18. Grievance officer and contact

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, you can raise complaints about content, accounts or the Platform with our Grievance Officer, Business Owners Group:

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days of receipt.
